Fantastic find Bill. Oddly enough given recent events it was Reggie King who told me I should listen to Gary Farr, as he was a very much neglected singer (takes one to etc). And wasn't Ricky Farr The Action's manager? Same dad, the great boxer Tommy Farr.

Ricky was indeed The Action's manager! Gary sadly passed away in California many years ago. I had this dodgy comp. LP of his 60's 45's/E.P. cuts in the late 80's that I loved, I wish that stuff was on CD, maybe it is?! I need to check....

I was watching Shindig In London Part I last night, which had The T-Bones live doing "Wooly Bully", as well as such joys as Eric Burdon looking like '78 Elvis Costello, Georgie Fame & probably the 1st appearance of Rod Stewart on US telly as part of the Brian Auger Trinity, w/Long John Baldry & Julie Driscoll.

Is it me or does Gary Farr seem totally off his egg in that "Shindig" clip? I've got that episode too. I still want to get ahold of the 2nd part w/ Graham Bond Organization, Manfred Mann etc. The GBO clip is at least on YouTube!
