All I'm missing is a chunk of concrete from the car park you mentioned and the Japanese only original sound track LP! I read a book several years back ("Your Face Here: British Cult Movies Since the Sixties ") that gave a run down on what became of all of the sites from the film and evidentally the pub is now a bakery I think?Wilthomerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10310808241428717740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6993499717184568859.post-26570773496847323752010-12-21T15:22:20.969-05:002010-12-21T15:22:20.969-05:00I listen to the 'Get Carter' LP at least o...I listen to the 'Get Carter' LP at least once a year. The theme tune especially is awesome and takes me right back to my home City Newcastle where much of the movie is filmed.

Over the River Tyne from Newcastle is a small Town called Gateshead. This is where the iconic 60s multi-story car park was situated and where London gangster Jack Carter (played by Michael Caine) brutaly beats up a rival then throws him over the side of the building to his death.

Sadly it was pulled down last year. I went passed the remnants only last week.EXPO67https://www.blogger.com/profile/06865251287252410089noreply@blogger.com
